Vertically Integrated Socialism is part of a series of
works that proposes achitecture and urban planning designs as solutions to major social or political problems specific (or not) to California. How do you solve social problems with "American values"? The solution is elaborated after considering the limitations imposed by contemporary North-American politics and economics, while at the same time trying to fulfill the promisesof
grand American ideals. As a result, the project becomes rather absurd, to the point that it actually magnifies the problem and questions the very attempt to solve it.
